ou can see the foundations of the walled-town, which has been built on a limestone promontory, while walking on the path round the battlements. The walk is about 2 km and offers beautilful views over the valley.
f you enjoy hiking, you'll find many tours leaving from Puymirol and in the surrounding area. Here is tour leaving from the path round the battlements (leaving from the village place, walk down Rue Saint-Serin to the path round the battlement or take direction east, pass the Foirail and turn right at Tour Ficat onto the path).
Walk around the path direction south to the lake (take a small path on left handside past the "broken cross" at the bottom of Rue Saint-Seurin).
Walk around the lake and up to the place called "La Boissière" (you can also take a short cut from 2 to 4).
Turn left in the next bend. You will follow a hedge and walk toward a dovecote direction North-East. Proceed for 250 m, walking back direction Puymirol.
Head direction the place called "Chastelet" and follow a path on right hand side direction North-East, pass "Barrère".
Walk across road D248, and proceed onto the small road heading to "Couderc".
Once at "Sablé", located at the mark 192, walk down until you reach "Talet" (view) and then the place called "Maure" (dovecote).
Turn right and proceed downhill to the church in Fraysse.
Continue downhill onto the road in the valley, direction Puymirol (West), then onto a path that meets road D274 at "Sauliè".
Proceed up to the crossroads D274 and D16, at the place called "Bruget". Proceed for about 250 m and walk up the Puymirol on a very steep path.

group of people also meets twice a week and go for a walk of 5 to 8 km. Together they discover the landscapes and beautiful sites in the area (within a 20 to 25 km range around the village). Originally a group of friends, the group went out on their first walk on
April 2008, and met for the
300th time on 23rd Septembre 2011. One rule: anyone who whishes can come (it isn't a association), whenever he wishes! The group meets and leaves from the Foirail on Mondays and Fridays at 8:30 am (at 2:00 pm from
October to May). All ages and nationalities are welcome to joint in these
convivial walks.
