 he Bastide of Puymirol is perched at more than 150 m over the Séoune river and features a very imposing character. Because the village is located on a rocky spur, the plan has been adapted to the layout of the place: long and spindle-shaped with the major axes (called "corriéré) running East-West from the entry door La Citadelle to La Comtale. The cross streets, called "bonello" (lanes) run North-South. The main street "rue Royale" crosses the large square place "la carra", which is a fairly rare layout for a bastide.
